The annual summit is held to facilitate training, outreach and technical assistance for American Indians with disabilities residing in urban and rural areas. Attendees will gain awareness of support services, become empowered and improve their lifestyle by learning strategies to eliminate barriers to service delivery. Every year we also feature the presentation of the Marcus Harrison, Jr. Leadership Award.
Our committee consists of individuals representing local and state agencies, non-profit and private sector human services agencies within the City of Phoenix and nearby surrounding areas.
These agencies include, but are not limited to: Ability360, Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA), Travis L. Williams Family Services Center, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, Gila River Indian Community Employment & Training, The Arc of Arizona, AZ Developmental Disabilities Planning Council and Native Health, Department of Economic Security-Division of Employment & Rehabilitation Services & Tribal Relations Program, Arizona@Work-City of Phoenix.
